This is an engineer position that promotes the development of powertrain software technologies for the era of electrification and SDV (Software Defined Vehicle).

While developing software platforms, development tools, test environments, and ECU architectures that support powertrain control, you will be responsible for building the foundation for next-generation vehicle development. You will promote development by collaborating with global teams and overseas partners by utilizing cutting-edge in-vehicle software technologies such as AUTOSAR, OTA, MBD (model-based development), cloud utilization, and software test automation.

This position involves not only software development but also building development processes and platforms that improve overall vehicle development efficiency and quality.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Our group consists primarily of software platform development (①), the development of software development tools, rules, processes, and testing technologies (②),ECU hardware development (③), and project management (④). Working in collaboration with partners and suppliers in Europe, Asia, and the United States, we are driving the development and application of advanced software development technologies required for the SDV era.

    ① Development of software platforms, exemplified by the use of AUTOSAR and vehicle connectivity technologies such as OTA

    ② Development of software development environments utilizing MATLAB, Simulink, and other tools,development of test environments utilizing SIL/MIL/HIL, development of cloud-based vehicle driving data analysis, software configuration management and ALM development, as well as the development of rules and processes to maximize their utilization

    ③ ECU hardware development to realize optimal in-vehicle electronic architectures

    ④ Project management leading the entire ECU development process
  • Requirements
    ・Basic knowledge
    of mechanical, electrical, electronic, control engineering, and automobiles ・Interested in cars, engines, motors, batteries, and also interested in computers, software, and
    IT tools ・Communication skills in English
  • Preferred
    ・Experience in engine and powertrain control and performance development
    ・General knowledge of microcontrollers and microprocessors
    ・Experience as a development team leader



    ・Someone who actively listens to others to understand their needs, and takes the initiative to elicit further requirements in order to bring upstream requirements to life
    ・Someone who can communicate proactively with international colleagues without hesitation within a global development environment

You will be responsible for developing energy management, thermal management, and vehicle integrated control software for a wide range of powertrains including EVs, e-POWER, engine vehicles, and 4WD systems. Through the development of control systems that form the foundation of advanced technologies such as e-Pedal, e-4ORCE, and ProPILOT, you will contribute to improving driving performance, comfort, efficiency, and safety.

You will also be widely involved in model-based development (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink, HIL simulation, and actual vehicle evaluation, collaborating with global development teams to create future vehicle control technologies.
