The client will provide support from concept definition to verification through CAE/CFD simulation of aerodynamics and thermal management in vehicle development.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Aerodynamic simulation for product development
    - Concept definition and target agreement for the overall vehicle and design based on FES targets/market demand and finalizing the spec book
    - Concept optimization and design modification by stylists and designers to finalize the concept
    - Verification of the mule car through testing to complete the development Mule car validation through testing to complete development
    ■ Thermal management simulation for product development
    - 3D vehicle engine compartment simulation to optimize trade-off between aerodynamic drag and cooling performance
    - 3D HVAC simulation to improve fuel/energy efficiency and cabin comfort
    ■ Methodology improvement for greater efficiency and accuracy
    Continuously seek opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy and process efficiency
    ■ Collaboration with Global CAE Circle and JSAE committees
    - Share methods and ideas and understand business conditions in Global CFD Circle
    - Access advanced technologies in aerodynamics and thermal management


    Aerodynamics simulation for product development
    Concept definition and target agreement with the entire vehicle and design for specbook fixation based on
    FES target / market demand
    Concept optimization and design fix with stylist & design toward concept fix
    Mule car validation with testing toward development completion
    Thermal management simulation for product development
    3D vehicle underhood simulation to optimize trade off between air drag and cooling performance
    3D HVAC simulation to realize better fuel/energy efficiency and cabin comfort
    Method improvement for better efficiency & accuracy
    To realize a maximum "real to virtual" evaluation, continuously seek a chance to improve prediction accuracy and
    process efficiencies
    Alignment with global CAE circle and JSAE committee
    Method alignment and idea sharing and business status understanding in the global CFD circle
    Access to SOTA technologies in aerodynamics and thermal management
  • Requirements
    ▪ Minimum 2 years of practical experience in development with CFD analysis in the manufacturing industry. (Star-CCM+, GT-suite experience preferred)
    ・Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering. (Mechanical engineering major preferred)
    ・Knowledge of automotive engineering, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, programming skills (JAVA macro, Python) preferred
    ・Excellent communication skills, cooperative attitude, and desire to grow.
    ・Language skills (business level in both Japanese and English)

    Bachelor/Master degree of Engineering is required.(Mechanical engineering course is preferable)
    ・Minimum 2 years hands on experience of CFD (hands on skill of
    Star-CCM+ / GT suite are welcome)
    ・Knowledge of automotive engineering, fluid&thermodynamics Knowledge of automotive engineering, fluid&thermodynamics, coding skills for automation(JAVA macro, Python) are preferred
    ・Possess excellent communication skills, teamwork skills, and a desire to grow
    English: Conversational level or above, Japanese: Conversational level or above
