The Senior Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic automotive customer accounts in Japan, driving long-term business growth while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction. This role combines commercial account management with technical customer engagement, acting as the primary interface between customers and internal engineering, product, and program management teams. The successful candidate will lead commercial discussions, support RFQs and new business opportunities, and provide market insights to help shape future product strategy.

- Responsibilities
- Manage and develop strategic relationships with Japanese OEMs and Tier 1 customers
Lead commercial activities including RFQs, proposals, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and account planning
Coordinate with engineering, product management, and program teams to develop customer solutions and technical proposals
Understand customer technical requirements and translate them into internal actions and business opportunities
Support post-award commercial activities including forecasting, royalty reporting, NRE management, and revenue tracking
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer roadmaps to identify new business opportunities
Act as the primary customer interface for commercial and technical discussions throughout the program lifecycle
Prepare business forecasts, pipeline updates, and executive reports to support strategic planning

- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
5+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Technical Sales, or a similar customer-facing role
Experience managing complex customer accounts within the automotive, software, or technology industry
Strong commercial negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience supporting RFQs, business development, and strategic account planning
Ability to understand technical customer requirements and translate them into business solutions
Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills
Business-level English and fluent Japanese

- Preferred
- Experience with automotive electronics, ECUs, sensors, SoCs, or in-vehicle communication systems
Knowledge of ADAS, Autonomous Driving, Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), or Occupant Monitoring Systems (OMS)
Understanding of camera-based vision systems, image processing, or embedded software development
Experience working with Japanese OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams and participate in technical customer discussions
