A global automotive and industrial technology supplier is seeking a Customer Product Manager to provide technical sales and application engineering support to Japanese manufacturers of agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and specialty vehicles.
This position serves as the main technical contact between customers and internal engineering teams, helping identify customer requirements and recommend suitable products and technical solutions.
The product portfolio includes transmissions, axles, hydraulic and pneumatic braking systems, electronic controls, and electrification technologies.
This is a customer-facing technical position combining engineering knowledge, technical sales, product application support, and international coordination.
Job Description

- Responsibilities
- ■ Technical Sales & Product Application
・Provide technical sales and application engineering expertise for off-highway vehicles and equipment.
・Understand customer technical specifications and product requirements.
・Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions in cooperation with internal product teams.
・Provide technical support across transmissions, axles, electrification, hydraulic braking, pneumatic braking, and control systems.
■ Customer & Engineering Coordination
・Act as the key technical contact for Japanese customers.
・Lead technical discussions and align product specifications and requirements between customers and internal engineering teams.
・Coordinate with domestic and international stakeholders to support customer projects.
・Manage local technical activities, including customer inquiries, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
■ Market & Technology Analysis
・Research customer needs, industry developments, and emerging technologies.
・Analyze technical trends in agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and specialty vehicles.
・Identify opportunities to introduce innovative products and engineering solutions.

- Requirements
- ・Associate degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
・Basic understanding of wheeled vehicle structures and mechanical systems.
・Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
・Basic familiarity with engineering tools such as CAD, CAE, and PLM.
・Ability to use standard business software, including Microsoft Office.
・Business-level Japanese and English communication skills, both written and spoken.
・Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
・Open-minded approach to technical challenges and customer requirements.
・Willingness to travel for business.
