A logistics startup that provides outdoor automated transport services for closed environments such as factories and logistics warehouses that have achieved Level 4 automated driving. Established through joint investment by a major manufacturer of automobiles and mobility equipment and an automated driving software developer, the company will begin mass production of automated EVs in 2022, and has already begun providing services to customers in Japan at more than 40 locations.

Furthermore, the RaaS-type service, which packages installation support service, operation management system, maintenance service, and insurance, realizes an automated transportation service that can be applied to complex outdoor environments by converting a small EV based on a golf car and an automated driving system that is basically designed for public roads. The company is expanding its organizational structure with the aim of expanding and operating its services in hundreds of locations nationwide.

This position will focus on business development and acquisition of new alliances for the automatic guided vehicle service.
You will be responsible for driving the company's growth into new industries and geographic areas such as factories and logistics facilities, as well as overseas expansion.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Planning and promotion of new businesses/products/services for automation and efficiency of transportation
    - Customer needs research and market trend analysis (manufacturing DX, smart factories, airports, etc.)
    - Project promotion through internal and external collaboration, and collaboration with strategic partners (vehicle manufacturers, software vendors, overseas partners, etc.) Consideration and negotiation of collaboration with
    ・Planning and execution of PoC and pilot projects for customers and collection of feedback
    ・Propose commercialization internally and build revenue model
  • Requirements
    Experience in business planning/business development in the B2B business (approx. 3 years or more)
    - Basic knowledge of commercial distribution/transportation, key players and automation products/systems
    - Communication and coordination skills with customers/technicians
    - Skills in hypothesis testing through market research and competitive analysis
  • Preferred
    -Knowledge and understanding of automation and cutting-edge technologies in each logistics area
    -Experience in implementing solutions for manufacturing and logistics sites
    -Experience in expanding business into global markets and doing business in English
    -An engineering background (mechanical, electrical, information) with business skills
    -Experience in manufacturing and logistics industry
    -Language skills: business level English language skills
