System Technical Project Manager

In the automated parking assistant system that supports the next generation of mobility, I am in a position to lead the entire development from the technical side, from product system architecture design to requirements management and management of R&D members. In collaboration with the global System Architect team, you will promote optimal design, quality assurance, and compliance with vehicle functions.

In this role, you will lead the product development from a technical perspective, overseeing system architecture design, requirements management, and R&D team coordination.
Working closely with a global System Architect team, you will drive optimal system design, quality assurance, and compliance with industry standards for vehicle functionalities.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ・Schedule and budget formulation and management
    of R&D activities, Progress management and problem solving for milestones (daily meetings, task force leadership)
    ・Design
    review in collaboration with other departments (procurement, manufacturing, etc.) ・In-house development
    of customer negotiations and technical requests ・Team management
    ・System architecture design and standardization
    ・Appropriate deployment

    of system requirements to each specialized field (software, hardware, mechanics, etc.) ・Define and manage R&D schedules and budgets
    ・Monitor progress toward project milestones, lead daily meetings and task forces to identify and resolve issues
    ・Conduct cross-functional design reviews in collaboration with other departments (e.g., Purchasing, Manufacturing)
    ・Act as a key technical interface with the customer, translating their requirements into internal actions
    ・Manage and align activities of R&D contributors (across Software, Hardware, Mechanical, etc.)
    ・Design and optimize the system architecture in accordance with product strategy and standardization policies
    ・Break down system-level requirements and allocate them appropriately to relevant engineering domains (SW, HW, Mechatronics)c
  • Requirements
    ・Experience in system development projects and team management (more than 10 years)
    ・Familiarity with
    ASPICE ・Experience
    as a system architect ・Language skills: Business level
    in both Japanese and English ・Experience

    in the automotive industry ・10+ years of experience in system development projects and team management
    ・Hands-on experience as a System Architect
    ・Strong understanding of ASPICE and related development processes
    ・Fluent in Japanese and English ( Advanced level)
    ・Professional background in the automotive industry
