This role is responsible for owning and managing demand forecasts for assigned products, developing reliable mid- to long-term forecasts to support supply planning and business growth.

Working closely with sales, marketing, product management, and supply chain teams, the role analyzes historical trends, market drivers, and customer demand to create accurate 24-month forecasts. The position focuses on improving forecast accuracy, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting business profitability through effective demand planning processes.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Develop and manage mid- to long-term demand forecasts through collaboration with sales, marketing, and product management teams
    Analyze historical sales data, demand drivers, and market trends to refine forecast models
    Utilize tools such as Power BI and Excel to analyze forecast results and support decision making
    Coordinate cross-functional activities to investigate forecast variances and improve accuracy
    Maintain and validate forecast data in demand planning systems (e.g., Maestro) using multiple data sources
    Support part number transitions, including product phase-in and phase-out planning
    Ensure accurate customer and product master data for reporting and planning purposes
    Analyze forecast accuracy and implement improvements using KPI tracking and reporting tools
    Communicate key supply risks or capacity constraints to relevant stakeholders
    Collaborate with product and project managers on new product introductions and end-of-life planning
    Drive improvements in demand planning methodologies, processes, and tools
    Monitor customer replenishment performance and provide feedback to supply chain teams
  • Requirements
    Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, or Business)
    5–7 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or demand planning roles
    Strong understanding of sales processes, S&OP, supply chain management, or production management
  • Preferred
    Experience using forecasting and analytics tools such as SAP, BW, Power BI, Maestro, Oracle, AS400, or JDA
    Knowledge of statistical analysis tools such as SAS or SPSS
    Interest or experience with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or Agentic AI)
    Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
    Mandarin Chinese language skills are a plus
