Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ■ Regional Sales Strategy & Business Development
    ・Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with Mid-Term Plans (MTP), annual budgets, and customer growth objectives.
    ・Drive revenue, order intake, market share, and profitability by identifying new business opportunities and leading business development activities.
    Collaborate with Product Marketing and R&D to support customer-facing innovation initiatives and technology events.

    ■ Commercial & Performance Management
    ・Manage regional commercial performance against targets, monitoring KPIs including revenue, order intake, market share, pricing, FX impact, and receivables.
    ・Identify commercial risks and performance gaps, implementing corrective actions to achieve business objectives.
    ・Support annual budget, Mid-Term Plan, and Customer/Commercial Approval (CAA) processes.

    ■ Customer & Stakeholder Management
    ・Serve as the primary commercial interface for major Japanese automotive OEM customers.
    ・Build and maintain strategic customer relationships while coordinating priorities between customers and internal teams.
    ・Lead communication and escalation management during critical business or customer situations.
    ・Partner with senior leadership to strengthen relationships with key regional stakeholders.

    ■ Global Business Coordination
    ・Support global business opportunities originating from Japanese customers.
    ・Coordinate quotations, commercial activities, and customer programs with international teams and overseas offices.

    ■ Team Leadership
    ・Lead and develop a team of three direct reports, including Key Account Managers and an Administrator.
    ・Drive team performance through coaching, capability development, and implementation of Challenger Sales methodology.
    ・Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer value, consultative selling, and commercial excellence.
  • Requirements
    ・Approximately 10+ years of total automotive-industry experience.
    ・At least 3 years of sales experience with Japanese automotive OEMs (JOEMs).
    ・Team-management experience.
    ・Japanese: Intermediate level or above.
    ・English: Business level.
  • Preferred
    ・Japanese: Business level
    ・Experienced in Tier-1 supplier sales to Japanese OEMs, with strong command of JOEM purchasing dynamics and commercial negotiation.
    ・Proven ability to manage account strategy, business development, revenue and profitability, internal cross-functional alignment, global coordination, and KAM team leadership.
