You will be responsible for mechanical design and system development of a refueling system that integrates multiple components such as multiple visual sensors, robot mechanisms, and calculators for target measurement and robot control. Visual sensors include visible and infrared cameras, laser ranging devices (LRFs), LiDARs, illumination systems, and more.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ・Integration design
    of components that are optimal for achieving the mission of satellite systems, design and analysis
    of interfaces and specifications between equipment, management of mechanical ICDs (Interface Control Documents)
    between other subsystems, verification planning
    of acquisition systems, vibration tests, thermal vacuum tests, Planning, preparation, and implementation
    of various tests represented by thermal cycle tests, evaluation of test results, implementation of mechanical assembly of design reflection
    and capture systems (in collaboration with the manufacturing department),
    purchase of equipment and parts, outsourcing design, preparation
    of manufacturing specifications, technical coordination
    with suppliers, manufacturers, and design subcontractors and progress management
  • Requirements
    ・Basic knowledge of robotics (actuators, articulated arms)
    ・English reading comprehension
    to understand technical documents, practical experience
    in planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of structural and mechanical tests, and awareness of working as a commercial business (short-term development, low cost, supply chain development, etc.).
  • Preferred
    ・Development experience
    using ROS, development experience
    using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape, practical experience
    in planning, implementing, and evaluating structural and motor drive tests (especially vibration tests) ・Experience in spacecraft development
