As part of the Business Development team, you will support the growth of next-generation cockpit, display, and software-defined vehicle (SDV) solutions for Japanese OEM customers. Working closely with customers, global engineering teams, and executive leadership, you will help identify new business opportunities, translate customer needs into product strategies, and support the acquisition of new programs. This role is designed as a development pathway toward future Business Development leadership, providing broad exposure to customers, products, and strategic decision-making from day one.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Serve as a technical interface for Japanese OEM customers, supporting customer discussions and requirement clarification
    Support product strategy and customer engagement activities for key automotive accounts
    Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new business opportunities
    Coordinate with global product management, engineering, and executive teams to align customer needs with product roadmaps
    Support RFQ activities, customer proposals, and business pursuit strategies
    Translate customer technical requirements into actionable inputs for internal engineering and product teams
    Support program execution through technical coordination and cross-functional collaboration
    Progressively take ownership of business development activities, including customer technical discussions and new business acquisition
  • Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline
    Experience within the automotive industry, preferably with a Tier 1 supplier
    Strong understanding of automotive electronics, such as digital cockpit, displays, ECUs, or related systems
    Customer-facing experience with strong communication and negotiation skills
    Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
    Fluent Japanese and business-level English
    Ability to quickly understand new technologies and explain technical concepts clearly to customers
    Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently
  • Preferred
    Experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, Application Engineering, or other customer-facing technical roles
    Knowledge of digital cockpit, display, infotainment, or connected vehicle technologies
    Experience supporting Japanese OEM customers
    Understanding of RFQ processes and customer proposal activities
    Experience collaborating with global engineering and product management teams
    Interest in emerging automotive technologies, including SDV, AI, and software-driven vehicle platforms
