Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Identify and select suppliers for various projects, negotiating pricing and contracts.
    Lead cost-reduction initiatives and manage supplier agreements.
    Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
    Coordinate with internal teams and global affiliates to optimize procurement processes.
    Develop and implement sourcing strategies for new suppliers.
    Prepare and submit product samples for testing and drive improvements in product competitiveness.
    Define material productivity goals and logistics plans in collaboration with relevant departments.
    Monitor and enforce supplier integration standards and purchasing procedures.
    Assist in preparing and managing site budgets in collaboration with the purchasing manager.
    Oversee adherence to logistics protocols for purchased components.
    Meet established KPIs related to procurement performance, supplier rationalization, and quality management.
  • Requirements
    At least 3 years of experience in procurement and purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
    Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
    Proficiency in Japanese at a business level (both written and spoken).
    Intermediate English Proficiency in Japanese at a business level (both written and spoken).
  • Preferred
    Experience in sourcing steel-related products.
    Previous procurement experience in the automotive industry.
