The firm is seeking a Specialist - Procurement (Automotive Systems) to join the Japan office in Yokohama. This position will focus on This position will focus on sourcing and procurement activities for the company's vision system business, contributing to cost optimization, supplier performance , and overall operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical ability, negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to supplier management and internal coordination. - Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue quotation requests based on detailed specifications, including engineering, tooling, quality, delivery, and pricing targets
Negotiate pricing and make sourcing decisions to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery outcomes
Maintain procurement systems and databases to ensure timely and accurate flow of information across departments
Create, update, and manage purchase orders
Identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities; support internal reporting requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., logistics, engineering, quality) on plant operational activities and engineering changes
Participate in supplier improvement initiatives and internal improvement groups
Adhere to all EHS standards, company policies, and legal requirements
Perform other tasks as assigned

- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of commercial experience, preferably in the automotive industry
Strong command of English and proficiency in MS Office and SAP
Proven competencies in negotiation, data accuracy, and cross-sectional collaboration departmental collaboration
Personal attributes: results-driven, proactive, ethical, customer-oriented, with strong organizational skills
