Parts Procurement Manager

We are a mobility startup that aims to mass-produce and implement ultra-compact EVs in the single-seater and moped minicar segments into society. We take on the challenge of minimizing mobility issues and environmental impact in rural areas, and build everything from design and manufacturing to sales, after-sales support, and CRM. Mass production is scheduled to begin in October 2025, and we are promoting a business that redefines "mobility options."

It is the role of designing "which parts, with whom, and how to deliver them", so to speak, "creating a supply system" itself. You will play an active role not only in building relationships with suppliers, coordinating with development and manufacturing, understanding the specifications and processes of parts, and "on the desk" of procurement, but also in the "place where you can smell the site".

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ・Design
    of procurement structure that is resistant to parts supply risks Procurement hierarchy, prioritization, and reserve inventory strategies are designed in collaboration with SCM.
    ・Commitment
    to cost optimization and cost improvement We design and implement our own plans to improve gross profit, such as VA/VE, parts integration, and supplier restructuring.
    ・Restructuring
    of procurement networks, including domestic and overseas → expansion to 3,000 units, regional diversification, development of overseas suppliers, etc.

    *What to do
    within 3 months of joining the company, inventory of parts lists, procurement conditions, and supplier composition and visualization
    of issues Understand which parts are moving where, under what conditions, and identify risk points.
    ・Create
    a procurement plan according to the mass production schedule In cooperation with SCM, production technology, and quality assurance, we will establish
    a system while understanding "where the whole will stop." ・Building relationships with major suppliers and reorganizing
    conditions Align lead times, supply capacity, and costs, and clarify procedures in the event of a problem.

    that you want to achieve within 6 months of joining the company, and the procurement of parts necessary for mass production are

    to take action at the starting point of procurement In response to defects, cost deviations, and specification changes, the procurement side is able to make improvement proposals and lead dialogue with suppliers.

    starting to think about the "next procurement structure" for scale after 2026 We are in a state where we have a plan for secondary procurement, in-house production consideration, price renegotiation, inventory strategy, etc.
  • Requirements
    ・Experience in one of the following (approximate: 3 years or more)
    (1) Experience in procurement/purchasing
    of products with complex component compositions such as mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment (2) Experience in technical occupations such as design and development, production technology, and quality assurance, and experience in leading negotiations and coordination
    with suppliers and internal stakeholders *Experience in the automotive industry is not required.

    in facilitating problem solving involving multiple stakeholders (suppliers and other departments within the company) ・Ability
    to plan and promote "who, when, and what" from a bird's eye view, and autonomy to step into areas that have not yet been developed, discover issues, and expand their reach
