Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Oversee basic research and technology strategy for advanced space propulsion systems
    - Design, manufacturing management, and verification through various tests of spacecraft propulsion and propulsion system systems
    - Define interface requirements related to propulsion system and manage interfaces with other systems
    - Manage propulsion system design team (resource management and team building including recruitment) Management of propulsion system design team (resource management and team building including recruitment)
  • Requirements
    At least 5 years of experience in spacecraft propulsion system design and development.
    - Experience leading a multi-person R&D team or project.
  • Preferred
    Familiarity with spacecraft propulsion system configuration and knowledge of basic system interfaces with related structural, thermal, electrical, etc.
    - Knowledge of verification details and verification facilities for propulsion vehicles and propulsion systems
    - Knowledge of various propulsion methods for spacecraft
    - Knowledge of safety design related to propulsion systems for spacecraft
    Experience in designing spacecraft propulsion systems from concept level to detailed design
    ・Experience in development of atmospheric re-entry vehicles
