As the product owner of globally deployed connected car services, you will lead the planning, development, and continuous improvement of mobile apps, smart devices, IVI (in-vehicle infotainment) applications, and more.

With the mission to maximize value for customers, we are deeply involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from enhancing user experience, formulating product strategies, managing backlogs, managing stakeholders, to improving through data analysis.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    (1) The development area and business overview of the affiliated organization, as well as roles and positions within R&D

    In the Software User Experience Development Department, you will be responsible for product development for globally deployed connected car services, including mobile apps, smart devices, and IVI (in-vehicle infotainment) applications. We expect you to play a central role as a "Product Owner" who maximizes product value and is at the core of development. Our department plays a crucial role in both developing services for new vehicle models and continuously improving services after release, innovating customer experience through products.

    (2) Specific responsibilities and expected roles and positions both inside and outside the department

    As a product owner, you will be deeply involved in every stage of development and committed to the success of your product.

    ・Product Backlog Management:
    Materialize user stories and prioritize them considering customer value and development effort. Always organize the backlog and create an environment where the development team can focus.

    ・Driving development:
    Work closely with engineering and UX teams to promote agile waterfall development. Lead decision-making as a product owner.

    ・Stakeholder Management:
    Facilitate smooth communication with diverse stakeholders such as domestic and international business departments, planning departments, and regulatory officers to advance projects.

    ・Effectiveness measurement and improvement:
    Set product KPIs and analyze post-release effects based on data. Collect customer feedback and connect it to the next improvement cycle.

  • Requirements
    ・Practical experience as a product manager or product owner in the web services, mobile apps, or automotive industries

    ・Experience communicating with stakeholders on cross-functional projects involving diverse departments

    ・Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English

    *While a TOEIC score of 700 or higher is preferred as a guideline, a specific score is not required. We prioritize practical communication skills and welcome candidates who are motivated to acquire the necessary language proficiency after joining the company.
