Lead a Japan-based Development/QA team within the Software Product Delivery organization. This role will focus on end-to-end design, development, and integration of advanced Over-the-Air (OTA) solutions for automotive and mobile OEMs, while shaping the future of Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) offerings. The position combines technical leadership, hands-on development, and team mentoring, ensuring high-quality delivery and close collaboration with global engineering teams.

- Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a Development/QA team in Japan, ensuring high-quality delivery and professional growth.
Design and develop end-to-end automotive OTA solutions (Cloud/On-Premises) and support integration across vehicle and operator networks.
Analyze and clarify customer requirements in Japanese, and collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure proper implementation.
Review new architecture plans, define migration paths from legacy systems to SDV solutions, and guide the adoption of AI-driven methodologies (data-driven development, model-based design, automation).
Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) for new technologies and recommend process adaptations.
Write code to develop customer features, improve products, and validate technical feasibility.
Investigate technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend improvements for software quality and reliability.
Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments.
Oversee knowledge transfer, onboarding, and training sessions for regional teams.

- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
3+ years of experience managing development/QA teams.
7+ years of software development experience (Java or Embedded C/C++).
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts, tools, and applications (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, automation tools).
Proficiency with development tools: Maven, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, GitHub.
Linux and networking expertise.
Independent, self-motivated, and able to perform under deadlines.
Native-level Japanese and business-level English (reporting, meetings, collaboration).

- Embedded OS development experience (Linux, Android, QNX).
Knowledge of Spring Boot, JUnit, Cucumber.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with modern web development (Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, REST API).
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, Groovy, Gradle).
Database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL, Elasticsearch).
Cloud service knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP).
