Customer Program Manager

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Lead cross-functional teams in product and service development from concept through launch to stable production.
    Serve as the primary customer interface, particularly with Japan OEMs, ensuring alignment on program objectives, schedules, and deliverables.
    Manage program risk, budgets, schedules, and BOM costs; coordinate change management and issue resolution.
    Drive new business opportunities including PoC, RFI/RFQ, and ensure alignment between internal teams and customer expectations.
    Lead the internal customer interface team and ensure effective communication of customer requirements across engineering and program management.
    Oversee resource allocation, equipment needs, and adherence to best practices and engineering processes.
  • Requirements
    Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
    Minimum 5 years’ experience in product development and/or program management.
    Hands-on experience in at least one technical area (software, hardware, mechanical, or manufacturing).
    Track record of launching at least one product from business commitment to stable production.
    Experience interfacing with Japanese OEMs.
    Strong skills in cross-functional leadership, problem solving, negotiation, P&L awareness, and communication.
    Fluent in English and Japanese.
    Willingness to travel up to 10%.
    Ability to work onsite or remotely with short-notice office visits.
    Clean driving record and successful background check.
  • Preferred
    Experience working directly with Honda.
    Master’s degree or MBA.
    PMP certification.
    Background in automotive Tier 1 electronics.
    Direct customer-facing experience.
