The company operates internationally with strong R&D capabilities and collaborates with major OEMs to develop next-generation safety and in-cabin technologies.

In this role, you will lead system engineering activities for next-generation automotive lighting systems, acting as the technical bridge between automotive OEMs and internal development teams.

You will be responsible for requirements definition, system architecture design, cross-functional coordination, and project execution throughout the V-model development process. This role sits at the upstream stage of development and plays a key role in transforming customer requirements into technical solutions delivered by software, hardware, and mechanical engineering teams.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Customer Requirements & Technical Discussions
    ・Lead technical discussions and requirement definition activities with automotive OEM customers
    ・Analyze customer requirements and translate them into system-level specifications

    System Design & Architecture
    ・Define system requirements and architecture for next-generation lighting systems
    ・Support development activities following A-SPICE compliant processes
    ・Create system-level specifications and interface definitions

    Cross-Functional Coordination
    ・Coordinate development activities between software, hardware, & mechanical engineering teams
    ・Manage interfaces and ensure technical alignment across functions

    Project & Development Management
    ・Support development activities throughout the V-model lifecycle
    ・Monitor project progress, quality, and technical deliverables
    ・Ensure development activities align with customer requirements and project milestones
  • Requirements
    ・3+ years of development experience involving automotive vehicles, automotive ECUs, or automotive components
    ・Experience in system design, embedded systems, software or hardware development.
    ・Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN or LIN
    ・Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills
    ・Native Japanese level
    ・Basic conversational English or above
  • Preferred
    ・Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) & automotive cybersecurity
    ・Basic knowledge of C Programming, MATLAB / Simulink or Model-Based Development
    ・Business-level English
    ・Experience working with overseas engineering teams or global OEMs
    ・Candidates willing to learn A-SPICE processes are welcome to apply.
