Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    -Work with OEMs in Japan to understand and define requirements for automotive safety systems.
    -Help define the requirements to clear technical specifications to aid in the development and design process.
    -Integrate and adapt products in development to align with dynamic and critical requirements.
    -Review CAD data and drawings to ensure integrity and compliance.
    -Coordinate and oversee testing in collaboration with R&D departments, reporting the results in detail.
    -Assist in prototyping, testing, and production launch for products.
    -Maintain client relationships, resolving critical issues in a dynamic industry.
    -Support departments such as engineering and business development through presentations and key insights into the progress of various projects.
  • Requirements
    -Native level Japanese ability and intermediate or above English ability.
    -2 years or more engineering experience related to seatbelts, steering, airbags, chassis, or other safety systems, preferably in an application engineering role.
    -Strong ability and experience communicating across engineering departments.
    -Strong understanding of CAD tools such as CATIA or NX for design reviews.
    -Understanding of JOEM development and testing processes.
  • Preferred
    -Experience in international environments and communicating in English.
    -Experience with seatbelt systems especially.
    -Experience working at or with a JOEM.
