You will be tasked to be the strategic leader and relationship owner for the firm's business with JOEMs in North America. Reporting to the Head of Key Accounts and based in Auburn Hills, Michigan you will be reponsible for securing, growing and safeguarding market share with JOEMs by winning new business, ensuring customer satisfaction and steering long-term growth strategies. Job Description

  • Responsibilities

    - Strategic Customer Leadership: Develop and execute a cross-divisional JOEM strategy in alignment with business units, plants, and global Board of Directors.

    - Build Trusted Partnerships: Establish and deepen senior-level relationships across Honda, Nissan, Toyota, and other JOEM decision-makers in engineering, purchasing, and strategy.

    - Customer Satisfaction & Retention: Act as the voice of the customer within the firm, monitoring satisfaction and ensuring fast, effective follow- up on feedback.

    - Competitive Intelligence: Create information leadership by tracking competitor moves, market dynamics, and future customer needs to ensure the firm stays ahead.

    - Strategic Negotiations: Lead complex contract, pricing, warranty, and terms discussions, ensuring long-term profitability.

    - Cross-Functional Alignment: Orchestrate collaboration across divisions (engineering, purchasing, plants, R&D, legal, finance) to present one unified face to JOEMs.

    - Program & Launch Support: Partner with operations to ensure flawless execution of awarded programs, from start-up through series production.

    - Influence Customer Strategies: Shape JOEM purchasing, development, and product roadmaps to align with innovations.

    - Compliance & Responsibility: Ensure adherence to safety, security, and environmental protection measures in all customer-related activities.
  • Requirements
    - Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
    - Experience: 10+ years in automotive OEM account management, with proven success in Japanese OEMs (Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, etc.).
    - Languages: Business-fluent English and Japanese (spoken & written).

    - Distinct entrepreneurial mindset and ability to identify growth opportunities.
    - Strong strategic thinker with international business acumen.
    - Assertive communicator and persuasive negotiator with executive presence.
    - Proven ability to navigate complex global organizations and build long-term trust.
