In Japan, the company maintains R&D facilities dedicated to advanced sensing technologies and intelligent driving systems, supporting global development programs in the field of ADAS and automated driving.

In this role you will be responsible for managing and expanding business with off-road and non-passenger vehicle manufacturers in Japan, including companies in the construction machinery, agricultural equipment, industrial vehicle, and specialty vehicle sectors.

The role focuses heavily on new business development, identifying opportunities to apply existing power-related components to new applications and customers. The successful candidate will manage the full commercial cycle—from identifying new opportunities and handling RFQs to negotiating pricing and managing ongoing customer relationships.

Working closely with internal engineering, production, and global account teams, this position plays a key role in developing new markets and strengthening relationships with OEM customers.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ■ New OEM Business Development (70-80%)

    ・Identify and develop new OEM customers in off-road and non-passenger vehicle segments.
    ・Promote and adapt existing product technologies to new applications and market opportunities.
    ・Understand customer technical requirements and coordinate internally to ensure product compatibility.
    ・Manage RFQs, prepare quotations, and develop pricing strategies.
    ・Lead contract negotiations and support the process of securing new business.

    ■ Account Management (20-30%)

    ・Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
    ・Lead commercial negotiations related to pricing adjustments, volume changes, and market conditions.
    ・Monitor sales performance and profitability for assigned accounts.
    ・Manage receivables and support resolution of payment issues when necessary.
    ・Act as the primary customer contact in the event of quality or supply issues.

    ■ Global Collaboration

    ・Communicate regularly with international teams across Asia and Europe.
    ・Coordinate with global production and engineering sites to support customer programs.
    ・Ensure alignment on pricing strategies and commercial agreements.
    ・Collaborate with regional account managers supporting global customers.

    ■ Business Planning and Market Strategy

    ・Support annual sales planning and revenue management activities.
    ・Participate in budgeting and long-term business planning.
    ・Contribute to order intake targets and growth initiatives.
    ・Collect and analyze market trends and competitor activity to support strategic decision-making.
  • Requirements
    ・Sales experience in the automotive industry (OEM sales experience preferred)
    ・Japanese: Native level
    ・English: Business level (meetings, documentation, and email communication
    ・Ability to work independently and drive tasks proactively
