This role manages procurement activities for production materials sourced from suppliers in Japan and supplied to overseas manufacturing sites. The position coordinates closely with suppliers, internal factories, and internal stakeholders to ensure stable supply of materials and continuous improvement of procurement operations.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Manage procurement operations and raise operational issues with internal and external stakeholders
    Act as buyer responsible for components sourced from domestic suppliers
    Coordinate between domestic manufacturing plants and suppliers
    Manage procurement of production materials supplied from Japan to overseas factories
    Handle procurement of resin materials, non-ferrous materials, and other production materials
    Support supplier management and production planning during supply shortages
    Participate in operational improvement initiatives with internal departments
  • Requirements
    Proactive attitude with strong teamwork and ownership
    Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, etc.) or business-related fields
    Knowledge of hardware manufacturing processes and procurement/sourcing activities
    Ability to analyze business challenges and solve problems using Japanese and English
    Ability to manage multiple tasks and continuously drive improvements
    Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
    Basic proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word , and PowerPoint
  • Preferred
    At least 2 years of experience in departments related to production activities such as procurement, production control, design, or quality assurance
    Ability to analyze data using Excel (functions, macros preferred)
    Strong problem-solving mindset with dedication to identifying root causes
