Legal and Risk Management Lead

We are developing sustainable mobility services that reduce environmental impact and solve urban transportation issues as well as rural transportation issues.

In this role, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks at a micro-mobility business company, including strategy development from a legal perspective, contracts with stakeholders, government negotiations, risk management of transportation infrastructure, and preparation for listing. In this position, you will work with the CFO to develop a wide range of legal and risk management activities. Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Involvement in business strategy development from a legal perspective
    - Contract preparation, review and negotiation with port owners and other stakeholders (including vs. government)
    - Development of hardware development and service operation strategies and risk management based on vehicle safety standards and traffic law restrictions
    - Involvement in listing preparations from a legal perspective, Involvement in legal aspects of listing preparation and documentation
    ・Institutional legal services for financing and general company operations
  • Requirements
    At least 2 years of experience in corporate legal affairs at a law firm or in the legal department of a business company

    <Skills>
    ・Able to understand business structure and its legal positioning appropriately and provide legal advice from a strategic perspective to achieve business growth while reducing risk
    ・Able to draft and negotiate contracts strategically for each business and transaction Able to draft and negotiate with counterparties to contracts that are appropriate to the business and transaction.

    <Qualifications and Education>
    ・Licensed attorney (either in Japan or the U.S.)
  • Preferred
    Experience in legal affairs related to real estate
    ・Experience in legal affairs related to initial public offerings (preferably global offerings)
    ・Experience negotiating with or working for government
    ・Experience working for a business company, especially a start-up
