Launched a car-sharing program for rideshare drivers.

Uber Japan, in cooperation with Times Mobility and Royal Limousine, announced the launch of Japan’s first car-sharing program for rideshare drivers.

The pilot operation will run from September to November 2024, providing opportunities for people without cars to work as drivers. The test operation will be conducted in the 23 wards of Tokyo, Musashino City, and Mitaka City, using two vehicles installed at Times Station Itocia in Yurakucho.

Times Mobility will provide the vehicles, Uber Japan will support the application and mechanism, and Royal Limousine will hire the drivers.
