Google will provide Volkswagen’s (VW) smartphone app with an AI assistant feature that leverages its Gemini generative AI model and cloud computing technology.

This feature will allow users of VW vehicles to ask questions about how to change a tire or obtain vehicle information using a camera. It is currently available to approximately 120,000 owners of the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport, and will be rolled out to other 2020 and later models by early 2025.
