Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Develop and maintain an integrated product backlog across systems, software, and validation, including original and change request scope
    Track work status using central planning tools and dashboards; report progress to stakeholders, including OEMs
    Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive backlog prioritization aligned with release plans and business goals
    Coordinate and ensure traceability across systems, software, and validation deliverables
    Lead software release readiness processes and defect triage for critical issues
    Manage dependencies and escalate risks or impediments to leadership
    Oversee non-functional requirement planning, including certifications and re-flash strategies
    Ensure complete test coverage and quality compliance before software release
    Facilitate cross-team alignment on technical impacts, estimates, and timelines for customer change requests
    Foster continuous improvement through performance metrics, customer feedback, and team collaboration
  • Requirements
    8 years or more of embedded software development experience, preferably in automotive (e.g., cluster, infotainment, or platform software)
    Strong decision-making, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
    Solid understanding of problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) and process improvement
    Excellent analytical, debugging, verbal, and written communication skills
    Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
    Strong customer relationship management skills

    Experience working with Toyota
    Formal Product Owner certification
    Hands-on experience with Agile product development
