Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Obtain type approval of vehicles introduced to Japan
    Documentation for TDS /PHP homologation
    Report regulatory information and technical requirements to overseas offices
    Application documents preparation support for vehicle homologation
    Certification planning and conducting testing

    / Experience in homologation
    ・Investigation, information gathering and internal development of domestic and international automotive regulations and rules
    ・Application for vehicle certification, income from approval, negotiation with authorities, attending audits
    ・Participation in industry associations and standard setting organizations
    ・Native level of Japanese
    ・Business level English (meetings and written communication in English)

    Collecting and reporting upcoming regulations and rules
    Maintain / update COP sampling test in production plants

  • Requirements
    - Major field of study: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic, chemical related, etc.
    - Experience in design, testing, or development of automobiles or automobile parts: A license as an automobile mechanic or a little experience in development of automobiles will be helpful for certification since you will understand the mechanics of automobiles.
    - Experience in automobile or auto parts inspection/notification work: Experience in inspection/notification work at an inspection/testing organization in the consumer electronics industry or other industries is also useful.
    - Experience in overseas business using languages such as English: Liaison with governments regarding actual laws and regulations, translation of documents from overseas headquarters, etc. Language skills will certainly broaden the scope of your career.
