Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Coordinate with the customer to review corrective actions and report on 0 km and field quality trends.
    Collaborate globally to close quality issues and implement improvements, aiming for “green” scorecard results.
    Maintain and apply knowledge of customer and internal Quality Management Systems (e.g., SQAM, QMS).
    Analyze quality data using enterprise tools (ODA, JIRA, QLIK Sense) and support problem resolution.
    Champion the “customer voice,” aligning quality strategies with customer requirements.
    Lead defect-prevention efforts via FMEA, control plans, and closed-loop quality practices.
    Support new product launches, audits, and product development reviews ensuring quality integration.
    Perform bench testing, diagnostics, and field support to resolve customer issues.
  • Requirements
    Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
    7 years or more in quality, engineering, or project management within automotive/electronics industries
    Technical experience with telematics, car audio, ECUs, or similar electronic modules
    Fluent in English and Japanese (business-level both spoken and written)
    Ability to travel up to 25% and hold a clean Japanese driver’s license
  • Preferred
    Knowledge of IATF16949:2016 and VDA 6.3 standards.
    Certifications in quality, electrical engineering, or project management

The quality engineering team is recruiting for a variety of roles!

The Quality Engineering team plays a critical role in ensuring the design, development, production, and delivery of automotive components meet quality standards. Their role spans internal laboratory testing, new product introduction, supplier management, and customer interfacing. The position supports compliance with international quality and safety standards (e.g., IATF16949, ISO14001), and is a key member of the QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) team, proactively managing risks, validating process changes, and improving quality control systems across the lifecycle of the product.

Role 1: Quality Lab and Assurance Leader
This position focuses heavily on the daily operation of a quality laboratory, emphasizing physical testing, lab staff training, equipment maintenance, and compliance with standards.

Role 2: Quality Engineer – Interior Switch Product Development
This role is centered on product quality control during development and manufacturing of interior switches, integrating design, process audits, and customer feedback while coordinating with suppliers.

Role 3: Project Quality Manager – Design & Risk Management Focus
This position acts to reduce risk in design and process phases of project development. It’s a front-line role ensuring that lessons learned and best practices are embedded early in the project while maintaining full customer transparency and compliance.
