As a skilled Field Service Engineer, you will be supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of advanced industrial cutting machines in Japan. This role involves commissioning new equipment, performing machine setup and optimization, and providing both preventive and corrective maintenance. The engineer will also deliver technical training to customers and offer ongoing after-sales support to ensure long-term satisfaction. Frequent travel within Japan is required, with occasional assignments in other regions. Working independently, you will be tasked to be the main source of knowledge regarding the companies products, and will be tasked to continue developing your skills in troubleshooting and overall maintenance.

- Responsibilities
- - Perform commissioning and installation of new cutting machines, including mechanical setup, calibration, and functional testing.
- Conduct machine setup and optimization to meet specific customer production requirements.
- Provide preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues on-site and remotely.
- Deliver operator and maintenance training to customer personnel.
- Offer technical support and after-sales service, maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Coordinate with global technical teams to resolve complex issues and implement updates or improvements.
- Maintain detailed service reports and documentation of activities.

- Requirements
- - Technical degree or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience working with CNC or automated industrial machinery, especially in metal processing or cutting applications.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and system diagrams.
- Solid troubleshooting skills with a proactive and customer-oriented approach.
- Business Japanese and English required.
- Willing and able to travel frequently within Japan and occasionally abroad.
