Depending on your experience, you may also be entrusted with the role of promoting quality assurance activities by communicating directly with automakers.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Planning and implementation of system and software quality assurance plans for engines
    - Evaluation of design processes (A-SPICE, ISO 26262, SOTIF, etc.)
    - Quality evaluation of control software
    - Construction of test environments for evaluating systems
    - Compliance with regulations regarding emissions and fuel efficiency performance
    - Endurance and bench tests, Planning and implementation of durability tests, bench tests, and actual vehicle tests
    ・Failure analysis and feedback
  • Requirements
    Experience in designing and implementing embedded software, knowledge and working experience in microcontroller control, experience in building and evaluating test environments
    ・English proficiency of approximately 500 points in TOEIC (level that does not interfere with reading, writing, and using e-mail)
  • Preferred
    -Experience in embedded C/C++
    -Experience in quality evaluation of powertrain control software
    -Knowledge and experience in quality management systems (e.g. IATF16949)
    -Knowledge and experience in vehicle control unit development process (e.g. A-SPICE)
    -Functional safety knowledge (ISO 26262)
    Cyber security knowledge (ISO21434)
    ・English language skills for dealing with overseas customers (TOEIC score of 700 or higher approx.)
    ・Experience working with CANalyzer and CANoe
    ・Excel-based macro creation techniques

The Quality Engineering team plays a critical role in ensuring the design, development, production, and delivery of automotive components meet quality standards. Their role spans internal laboratory testing, new product introduction, supplier management, and customer interfacing. The position supports compliance with international quality and safety standards (e.g., IATF16949, ISO14001), and is a key member of the QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) team, proactively managing risks, validating process changes, and improving quality control systems across the lifecycle of the product.
