In this role you will take the lead on as Customer Quality Manager playing a critical role in strengthening customer trust by ensuring smooth While formally positioned within the Sales Department, this role focuses on building strong quality partnerships with customers, acting as a bridge between client quality teams, internal quality functions, and the sales organization.

- Collaborating with customers, internal quality teams, and sales to quickly resolve quality concerns.
- Removing barriers that could delay product introductions or disrupt ongoing business.
- Building long-term relationships with customer quality departments, positioning the company as a trusted "high-quality partner ."

Scope of Work

- Covers all quality aspects related to the firm's manufactured products.
- Requires strong knowledge of products and applications, as well as customer products and processes.
- Involves customer communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving.
- Geographical focus is Japan, with some international travel to Europe and Canada (e.g., customer audits).
- Primary customers: domestic battery, friction materials, and polymer manufacturers.

Expected travel: ~40% of total time.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    - Support the sales team on all quality-related topics across applications.
    - Manage customer quality claims, coordinating with internal quality and sales teams to find solutions.
    - Respond to customer factory audits and related requests.
    - Manage communication regarding 4M changes (Man, Machine, Method, Material) across factories.
    - Facilitate access to various levels of customer and distributor organizations, ensuring effective information flow to leadership.
    - Conduct surveys on environmentally regulated substances and Carbon Footprint (CFP).
    - Handle NDA execution processes.
    - Process sample orders and provide support to domestic sales activities.
    - Potential career development into a sales role with revenue responsibility, depending on business needs and individual performance.
  • Requirements
    - 3-5+ years of experience in quality-related positions within a manufacturing environment.
    - Familiarity with IATF, ISO standards
    - Japanese: Native, English: Business level
    - Quality systems and processes
    - Manufacturing-related quality practices
