You will be responsible for the design, development, and operation of ground station equipment used in the launch and combustion test of rockets for small satellite launches. You will be responsible for the construction and maintenance of ground infrastructure that functions reliably at the actual launch site, as well as operations during tests and launches, utilizing your knowledge in multiple fields such as communications, measurement, power, and control.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Design and installation of communications equipment for rocket status monitoring, command transmission, and data reception
    - Construction, maintenance, and repair of control equipment required for launch and burn tests
    - Planning and implementation of integrated equipment test plans, and real-time operations on the day of launch and test
    - Preparation of ground stations for actual rocket launches Preparation of ground stations for actual rocket launches, start-up of communications equipment, in-flight telemetry reception and command transmission, and status monitoring and logging
    ・Identification of causes of system errors, recovery response, planning of preventive measures and maintenance of operational procedures
    ・Design, operation and documentation maintenance based on laws and safety standards (e.g., Radio Law)
  • Requirements
    -Experience related to operations or ground support equipment in rockets, satellites, or transportation, communication, and control systems (any field)
    -Experience in organizing specifications, connection design, and defining requirements for interfaces across multiple systems (communication, power, data, control, etc.)
    -Experience in system design (e.g., configuration of communication lines, Experience in tasks related to system design (e.g., communication line configuration, connection interface design, structural design, thermal design, etc.)
    ・Japanese business level or above (smooth communication)
  • Preferred
    Experience in design, operation, and evaluation of ground systems for satellites, rockets, aircraft, etc.
    - Knowledge of control equipment (PLC, FPGA, microcontrollers, etc.) and development experience
    - Knowledge of network design and real-time communications
    - Knowledge of GNSS and RF equipment
    - Experience handling radio communication equipment or related qualifications (Land Radio Engineer, Amateur Radio, etc.)
