A heavy industry company famous for trucks, buses and industrial diesel engines is looking for a P&C (People & Culture)/HR Operations/Service Manager.

The P&C Service Manager is responsible for managing and continuously improving Compensation & Benefits and Employee Relations operations. This role ensures accurate and compliant payroll administration, effective HR processes, and strong alignment with local labor laws and global HR standards. The position works closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and global teams to deliver efficient HR services and support The position works closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and global teams to deliver efficient HR services and support employee lifecycle management, including global mobility for expatriates.

The P&C Service Manager plays a key role in driving process improvements, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting smooth communication between local and global HR functions, while handling a wide range of HR operational tasks.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    -Manage Compensation & Benefits, including payroll, salary reviews, bonuses, and incentive programs (including expatriates)
    -Oversee time and attendance systems
    -Handle payroll-related statutory processes such as taxes, social insurance, and pension plans
    -Manage payroll vendors
    -Ensure Ensure compliance with labor laws, company rules, and employment contracts
    -Respond to labor office and immigration requirements
    -Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and attendance systems processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and personnel changes
    -Handle employee relations issues and support global mobility for expatriates
    Communicate with global HR teams and prepare required reports
    -Support HR systems, including SAP SuccessFactors

  • Requirements
    -8+ years of knowledge and experience in a wide range of HR fields.
    -Domestic labor law, health and safety law, health manager certification welcome
    -Language - Native Japanese + Business English (TOEIC 700 over)
  • Preferred
    Experience in the auto industry is preferred
