Its main customers are in the automotive and electronics industries. The Japanese subsidiary has about 30 employees and has introduced a flextime system to enable flexible work styles. Production bases are located mainly in Asia (China and Malaysia), but also in the U.S. and Europe. In the Japanese market, the company's priority strategy is to expand its market share, especially in the automotive sector.

Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, he leads sales activities in the western Japan area (Kansai and Kyushu). The position will promote the development of new customers and the deepening of existing customers through a hybrid model of direct sales and distributorships. This position leverages technical expertise and commercial acumen to expand sales and increase market share in the Japanese market.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    - Market development and customer development: Market analysis, identification of potential customers, and formulation of key account strategies, focusing on the automotive and electronics industries
    - Sales strategy planning and execution: Annual and quarterly planning, KPI setting, GTM strategy development
    - Technical proposal and project management: Solution proposal based on customer requirements, from quotation to mass production Case management
    - Key account management: building relationships with decision makers, creating additional deals and cross-selling
    - Team management: training, accompanying, and pipeline management of 2 West Japan sales members
    - Internal and external collaboration: coordination with engineering, overseas factories (Asia, US, Europe), R&D
    - Business trip support: Domestic business trips mainly in western Japan, overseas business trips as needed
  • Requirements
    - Bachelor's degree or higher (engineering preferred)
    - 5+ years of B2B sales experience (industrial products)
    - Proven track record of account development, sales strategy and goal achievement
    - Strategic thinking and practical execution skills
    - Strong communication skills
    - Self-motivated and goal-oriented
    - Ability to travel internationally and internationally
    - Business level English proficiency
  • Preferred
    Fastener, precision parts, automotive, electronics industry experience
    Experience managing small teams
