The organization collaborates closely with major automotive manufacturers worldwide and operates engineering and development centers across multiple regions.

In Japan, the company maintains R&D facilities dedicated to advanced sensing technologies and intelligent driving systems, supporting global development programs in the field of ADAS and automated driving.

In this role you will be responsible for leading and optimizing supply chain operations at a manufacturing site, ensuring stable product supply and efficient coordination across production planning, demand forecasting, procurement, and inventory management.

You will serve as a central point of coordination for supply chain activities, working cross-functionally with production, sales, logistics, and purchasing teams. The role includes leadership responsibilities for a small team and focuses on improving supply chain performance, driving operational efficiency, and supporting business profitability.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Strategic Team Management & Organizational Development
    ・Manage and develop the Customer Service and Procurement teams.
    ・Define operational KPIs such as service level, inventory turnover, and transportation costs.
    ・Strengthen the organization through team development and capability improvement.

    Integrated S&OP Leadership
    ・Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, including monthly and weekly meetings.
    ・Coordinate stakeholders across production, sales, logistics, and purchasing.
    ・Utilize ERP systems such as SAP to support data-driven decision-making.

    Demand Management & Customer Coordination
    ・Maintain strong relationships with key customers including automotive manufacturers.
    ・Conduct demand analysis and support accurate forecasting.
    ・Improve delivery lead time visibility through logistics platforms and IT tools.

    Inventory & Supplier Strategy
    ・Develop and implement inventory reduction strategies.
    ・Collaborate with suppliers to improve logistics efficiency through approaches such as:

    Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)
    ・Milk-run logistics
    ・Improve overall supply chain cost efficiency and operational performance.
  • Requirements
    ・3+ years of experience in production planning or production control related to automotive components.
    ・Ability to create and manage production planning schedules.
    ・Business-level Japanese for internal communication.
    ・Business-level English for communication with global teams.
  • Preferred
    ・Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
    ・5+ years of supply chain management experience.
    ・Experience managing teams or leading supply chain projects.
    ・Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in supply chain environments.
    ・Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    ・Experience working in manufacturing or automotive supply chains.
    ・Interest in improving operational processes and organizational efficiency.
